Nutrimetics Christmas Catalogue

Now that Hallowe'en is past, your mind may be turning to the dreaded task of Christmas Shopping. After arriving home from work, tired and hungry, who among us can really be enthusiastic about heading back out into a dark, cold, wet night, to squeeze through overcrowded shops, laden with heavy bags, to the endlessly repetitive lilt of I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day?

The Web-site Make-over

In The Looking Glass web-site booked in for a Colour and Style make-over a couple of weeks ago. As a result a new style has emerged. Due to the CATWALK editorial being published, it's new look went live a little earlier than expected last Friday evening, when things weren't quite finished. However most things are now in place. There will be on-going changes over the coming weeks, but these will now be relatively minor. I hope you like the new look.

The site is much more interesting now with lots more for you to look around. Go on - have a good explore!

News Letter

News Letter CATWALK Supplement, September 2009

Fame at last! The CATWALK supplement in today's Belfast News Letter features an interview with me about choosing colours and styles to flatter yourself (see Fashion to color you happy on page 9).

CATWALK also has lots of news on the Autumn/Winter fashions and how to wear them.

Toastmasters International

I attended my first ever meeting of Toastmasters International last night. It is a personal aim to improve my public speaking skills and Toastmasters seems to be a good training ground. As part of the evening one of the members leads the meeting in a Table Topics discussion, pausing occasionally to pose questions. For the first couple of questions I observed how others answered. By the third question I felt motivated to respond. The question was about the value of bottled water.

Ten years younger!

A colour and style consultation can knock ten years off you without going anywhere near a surgeons knife! See the difference a consultation made to one of my clients below!

Knowing your colouring and shape helps you to select flattering clothes which you can wear with confidence.

What could a consultation do for you?

B4B Speed Networking

Last night was one of B4B's infamous Speed Networking events at the Holiday Inn, Belfast. For a mere £20 (£10 if you're a member of B4B) you get a buffet dinner to sustain you through the next two and a half hours of intense fast-sell of your business. Boy do you need it, along with the bottled water at the tables and a cup of tea half way through.

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is fast approaching and yet again we'll be watching the pennies and trying to come up with alternative ways of making Valentine's Day special without costing a fortune. How about a nice meal in, and a little pampering? Through the Looking Glass are offering some great reductions on the ideal products to pamper your loved one with. Delicately scented shower cream and body cream and perfumes for the girls, massage oil and foot creams and scrubs for you to share (!) or body wash and eau de toilette for the boys.

Necessity or Luxury?

January 2009 and the news is all doom and gloom, but is a colour and style consultation a luxury or essential at this time of watching the pennies?

Well, it really depends on how you look at it. If you typically spend a lot on clothes, have a wardrobe brimming with garments that you loved in the shop but when you got them home you realised you have nothing else to wear with them, or just that you have no occasion to wear them, then a consultation could well save you money!

How to own a room in 7 seconds

I was at the B4B event at the Belfast Metropolitan College last night. Can’t for the life of me remember the full title of the main presentation, something about owning a room in 7 seconds. Perhaps it was “How to own a room in 7 seconds”. Anyway, it was a fabulous evening.
